This unique collection of poetry and artwork was submitted unsolicited to the now-defunct Getting Ready magazine by its readers. For 20 years, Getting Ready provided articles meant to inspire and inform at-risk youth while also giving them a forum for their thoughts and feelings. Getting Ready ceased publication in January of 2009.

Poetry 4 Ya Mind! is a testimony to young people who work hard to understand who they are and to overcome the adversity they have experienced in their lives.
