Description:

This workshop will present findings from a national survey of youth (aged 13 and older) in adoptive placements, including their perspectives on parent/child relationship issues, whom they turn to for support, birth parent contact, and their adoptive parents' level of support for this contact. This information will be combined with data reported by adoptive parents about the child's level of functioning, pre-adoptive experiences, and the parents' view of the relationship.

Speaker(s): Lisa Barbanell, Scott Ryan, & Shelly Smith, School of Social Work, Florida State University.

Approximately 65-80 mins.
