This unique collection of poetry and artwork was submitted unsolicited to the now-defunct Getting Ready magazine by its readers. For 20 years, Getting Ready provided articles meant to inspire and inform at-risk youth while also giving them a forum for their thoughts and feelings. Getting Ready ceased publication in January of 2009.
